The Plettenberg Bay Restaurant Operators Association was formed with the view to giving restaurants in Plett significant representation on the Tourism Board and to bring cohesion to the industry and benefit restaurant owners and operators in many other ways.  With the impending arrival of the world's biggest sports event in South Africa, the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the association is seen as a marketing platform for members; a support base; and a form of accreditation to give potential customers a sense of standard and accountability.
